I’m done with high school. Completely, totally, nothing left to do but graduate.
…so what do I do with my time now?
senioritis at its worst
Tomorrow, I have my big final presentation for all I’ve done over the course of the year. My teacher told me that it would be easiest to create after coming up with my concluding sentence. What have I done so far? My concluding sentence… and watched the 2nd season of the Office on Netflix.
This is going to be so much fun.

it's summer. (finally)
Well… I’m a senior. A good half of my friends have graduated and I’m not sure when I’ll see them again. But.
Summer is here- the sky is that almost painful blue, the Virginia summer sun is beating down on us like nothing else I can imagine, and it smells like joy outside. My summer’s going to be a busy but happy one: filled with sand and salt water, family, baking,...

Childhood nostalgia
Anyone remember Liberty’s Kids? I found it on Netflix online…. so many memories. I’m very happy to discover that my adoration of history/early America started from a young age.
it's funny how things work out some days.
this week has undeniably sucked. except it hasn’t.
everything I hate has seemed to happen, and I’ve dealt with a lot of disappointment in a week that usually would be filled with my excitement.
but I know that I’ve changed from last year because that disappointment hasn’t completely killed me. and I know things are better than last year because even though part of this...

I think that one of the important things I’ve realized recently is that not everything has to fall apart when one big thing changes. I spent a lot of last year fearing big change, of what would happen in the future to change my dreams, my friends, my family. I don’t really know what it was that made that little revelation take place, but it’s a lesson I want to keep close. I...

Oh goodness. I want to learn to bake non-boxed things so I can make this.
happiness comes with snow.
Virginia usually doesn’t get snow. But the past week, we’ve been getting a ton of it. These past few days have been absolutely lovely, even though I’m completely the opposite of who I usually try to be— I’ve been giddily dancing in the snow at the first chances I get, I’m delighting in little pleasures, and I am completely unconsumed by work.
One of those...
